- Brazil's real jumped 4.5% against the US dollar in early Monday trading, strengthening past 5.00 per greenback, after right-wing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro beat expectations in the country's first-round election and led leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva ahead of an October 25 runoff.
