Australian shares likely to gain at open, NZ flat
Oct 29 (Reuters) - Australian shares were set to advance on Thursday, driven by likely gains in heavyweight miners and energy stocks from firmer commodity prices, despite a hot inflation print that reaffirmed expectations of central bank tightening next week.
The local share price index futures rose 0.5%, a 52.7-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO close. The benchmark ended flat on Wednesday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index .NZ50 was flat in early trade.
