- 7-Eleven will dismiss a trademark lawsuit that accused Nike NKE.N of copying its signature orange, green and red stripe design for a pair of Air Max 95 shoes, the convenience store chain told a Dallas federal court.

  • 7-Eleven on Monday moved to dismiss its case with prejudice, which means it cannot be refiled

  • Spokespeople for the companies did not immediately respond to requests for comment or for more information on the filing, including whether the dispute was settled

  • Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven sued Nike on July 2 in an attempt to block sales of the sneakers, which were set for release on July 11, or "7-Eleven Day"

  • 7-Eleven alleged that Nike designed the shoe to evoke the convenience store and said consumers would mistakenly believe the shoe was sponsored or endorsed by the chain

  • Nike did not respond to the allegations in court

The case is 7-Eleven Inc v. Nike Inc, US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, No. 3:26-cv-02201.
