OCBC Bank was founded through the merger of three local banks in 1932. Its oldest unit, however, was formed in 1912.
Currently headquartered in Singapore, the bank operates through subsidiary Bank OCBC NISP in Indonesia, while in Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR it goes under OCBC Wing Hang. The private banking service of OCBC Bank is operated by its wholly-owned subsidiary Bank of Singapore.
The bank along with its subsidiaries offers commercial banking, specialist financial and wealth management services, corporate banking, investment management, private and corporate transaction banking, insurance management, asset management and stockbroking services.
The company offers life insurance services through Great Eastern Holdings in Singapore and Malaysia, while Lion Global Investors operates asset management services in Southeast Asia as a subsidiary.
