About UMB Financial Corp
UMB Financial Corporation is a financial holding company, which offers a range of banking and other financial services to customers through its branches and offices. Its segments include Commercial Banking, Institutional Banking, and Personal Banking. The Commercial Banking segment serves the commercial banking and treasury management needs of the Company’s small to middle-market businesses through a variety of products and services. The Institutional Banking segment is a combination of banking services, fund services, asset management services and healthcare services provided to institutional clients. This segment also provides fixed income sales, trading and underwriting, corporate trust and escrow services, as well as institutional custody. The Personal Banking segment combines consumer banking and wealth management services offered to clients and delivered through personal relationships and the Company’s bank branches, automated teller machine network and Internet banking.
Financial summary
BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2021, UMB Financial Corp interest income increased 7% to $861.5M. Net interest income after loan loss provision increased 32% to $795.5M. Net income increased 23% to $353M. Net interest income after loan loss provision reflects Commercial Banking segment increase of 52% to $541.1M, Personal Banking segment increase of 21% to $167.4M.
