Strong investment fund inflows far outweighed outflows for the week ended 31 May 2017, the Washington DC-based Investment Company Institute reported today.
Total estimated inflows to long-term mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were $18.33bn. Estimated mutual fund inflows were $98m while estimated net issuance for ETFs was $18.23bn.
Weekly fund flows are estimates that represent industry totals, based on reporting covering more than 98 percent of mutual fund and ETF assets. Equity funds had estimated inflows of $14bn for the week.
