Social media giant Facebook is taking on extra office space in London, according to a report.
The company, which recently leased all the office space at One Rathbone Square near Soho, is looking renting an additional 400,000 sq ft of space at the King’s Cross Central development.
'Commitment to invest in London'
Facebook declined to comment on the Bloomberg report. At the time of signing the deal on Rathbone Square, Facebook's head of real estate Robert Cookson said the move “highlights our commitment to invest and grow our talented teams of people based in London, from engineering and analytics to partnerships and design, who help us connect over a billion people on Facebook across the world”.
Google is already based at the King’s Cross development, while Apple is moving its UK headquarters to the new Battersea Power Station development, which will be Apple’s largest base outside the US.
