Ferrexpo has its operations all around the world, including Dubai, Singapore, Tokyo, and Shanghai where it mainly deals with distribution and sales. The company’s products are mostly sold to steel mills in Eastern Europe. The FXPO share price is listed on the London Stock Exchange and included in the FTSE 250 Index.
In 1960, the company was established by the Soviet government under the name Poltava Mining and Extraction Combinat. It targeted exploitation of iron ore reserves in Ukraine with its further mining and selling. The founder, Kostyantyn Zhevago, holds 51% of the company’s shares.
