Cost pressures resulting from India’s persistently high inflation and the broader deterioration in global macroeconomic conditions – including concerns that a worldwide economic slowdown may be approaching – have weighed on Infosys (INFY) shares in recent months.

So far in 2022, INFY stock has fallen by 26.1%. Despite this recent weakness, Infosys shareholders are still sitting on five-year gains of around 187% – outperforming the S&P 500 (US500) over the same period by more than threefold.
