Tele2 is a Sweden-based telecommunications provider. The company was started by Jan Stenbeck who challenged the state monopoly on mobile telephony. Later, the Tele2 brand was the first to deliver dial-up internet. The company serves both emerging and mature markets, namely: Sweden, the Baltics, the Netherlands, Germany, and Kazakhstan. Its products and services include mobile voice messaging & handset data, fixed voice and broadband, mobile broadband, and the Internet of Things. Tele2 trades on the NASDAQ Stockholm.
