Founded in 1903 (117 years ago), the company operates in two sectors: automotive and financial services. Since then, the F share price has been listed and traded on the NYSE and is included in the S&P 100 and the S&P 500 stock market indices.

So far in 2020, the Ford stock quote is driven by better than anticipated Q2 operating results, as the company has reported net income of $1.1 billion and more than $39 billion in cash.

Jim Hackett, Ford Motor president and CEO, commented on the company’s performance: “I could not be prouder of the Ford team’s optimism and effectiveness as we manage through this pandemic. We delivered a strong Q2 while keeping each other safe, caring for customers and neighbours, and assuring tomorrow.”
