FuboTV Inc. (FUBO) is a live TV streaming platform for live sporting events, news and entertainment.
After debuting as a streaming soccer service in January 2015, fuboTV has spawned into an independent virtual multichannel video programming distributor (MVPD) in the United States.
Headquartered in New York City, fuboTV offers more than 30,000 live sporting events per year and 60,000 TV episodes and movies every month.
Customers who sign up for accounts can access fuboTV content through streaming devices, SmartTVs, mobile phones, tablets and computers. Apart from watching live streaming, subscribers also can buy incremental features such as extra content or enhanced functionality based on their preferences.
In 2018, the company launched fuboTV España, and it became the first US virtual MVPD to enter Europe. The following year, fuboTV launched fubo Sports Network, the live, free-to-consumer TV network for sports fans that offers event coverage, news, behind-the-scenes and exclusive programming.
FuboTV expanded its service to France after it acquired Molotov SAS, France's top live TV streaming company, on 8 December 2021. Molotov offers direct-to-consumer live TV streaming and advertising video-on-demand (AVOD) services.
Molotov has 17 million subscribers in France. Apart from France, it operates in Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Cameroon and plans to launch soon in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
FuboTV went public on 7 October 2020 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FUBO. It also operates in Canada.
