Baidu Inc. (BIDU) is a Chinese technology company that specialises in internet-related services, products and artificial intelligence (AI).
Founded in 2000 as a search engine platform, in 2010, it was established as an “early adopter” of artificial intelligence.
The company has released a number of apps, including:

Baidu App – the company’s flagship product. It’s similar to Google but designed for China and Chinese speakers.

Haokan – a video sharing app.

Quanmin – a singalong app with social media features.

Baidu Wiki – very similar to Wikipedia but compiled by experts in specialised fields.

Baidu Knows – an online community where users can ask questions and receive answers.

Baidu Experience – an online platform where users can share daily knowledge and experience.

Baidu Post – a social media built on topical online communities.
Baidu has developed a number of AI building blocks that can be integrated into other technologies. Baidu also offers online marketing services, including Baidu Union, P4P auction-based services and a marketing cloud platform.
The company developed iQIYI, an on-demand online entertainment streaming service which features original content, as well as a library of other professionally produced content. It trades separately to Baidu on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol IQ.
Baidu went public on the Nasdaq stock exchange in August 2005 under the ticker BIDU. It has a secondary listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange under the ticker 9888.
