Bilibili (BILI) is a video community offering a broad range of online video-based content with ‘All the Videos You Like’ for younger generations in the People’s Republic of China.

The Shanghai-based company runs a platform that covers a range of genres and media formats, including videos, live broadcasting and mobile games. Users and content creators can discover and interact with diverse content which range from lifestyle, games, entertainment, anime, tech and knowledge.

It also offers video-based content through professional user-generated videos (PUGV), occupationally-generated videos (OGV) and more. As of 2022, those born between 1985 to 2009 made up 86% of Bilibili’s users.

PUGV is the company’s main growth engine, accounting for 91% of total video views on its platform in 2020. PUGV accepts videos from content creators of all levels, from amateurs to professional individuals and studios.

OGV provides content produced, or jointly produced, by Bilibili, as well as licensed content obtained from third-party production companies. OGV’s content includes anime from China and other countries, documentaries, variety shows, selected TV shows and movies.

The company’s website was launched in June 2009. However, it did not start its commercial operations until 2011. 

In October 2018, the company entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Tencent for sharing and operating anime and games on the platform.

Bilibili Inc. American Depositary Shares (ADS) are listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol BILI.
