Ultra Electronics’ Communication & Integrated Systems (CIS) business, based in London, has been awarded a UK contract valued at £16.6m to support the provision of advanced surveillance capability until 2019.
Meanwhile, Ultra's Precision Control Systems (PCS) business, based in Cheltenham, has been awarded a contract valued at £9m from defence and security company Saab of Sweden.
Under this contract, PCS will supply its HiPPAG airborne compressor system solution for the new Gripen E/F fighter aircraft.
Saab has been awarded contracts by the Swedish and Brazilian air forces and is well positioned to win further export contracts. Due to commercial and security considerations, no further information can be provided in relation to this award.
Commenting on the contract wins, Douglas Caster, Executive Chairman of Ultra Electronics said: " These contracts underpin the long-term success of the Group and highlight Ultra's ability to work closely with both Government and Industry.
The group's share price was up slightly (just under 1%) in mid-morning trading to 1236.
