Boliden is a Sweden-based company involved in exploring, extracting and processing base and precious metals.The high-tech metal company takes its origins in 1924 when gold fever broke out close to the Swedish town of Skelleftea. That first ore deposit laid the foundations for today’s Boliden Group. The company divides its operations into the Business Area Smelters and Business Area Mines segments. Boliden’s principal products are zinc, copper, lead, nickel, gold, silver, sulphuric acid, concentrate, and by-products. The group’s operation network stretches across Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Ireland. Their key markets include Germany, Scandinavia and the UK. Boliden trades on the NASDAQ Stockholm exchange under the ticker BOL.
