Its portfolio of investments includes various sectors, such as telecommunications, technology, financials, industrials, consumer staples, healthcare, consumer discretionary, basic materials, energy, real estate and utilities. The Company's investments in the equities include various businesses, such as media and e-commerce, online retailer, online search engine, international life insurance, healthcare insurer, online commerce platform, insurance broker, mineral exploration and production, semiconductor testing services, and online travel agency. Baillie Gifford & Co Limited is the alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) for the Company.
