Hill & Smith Holdings PLC (HILS) is a leading international group of companies involved in the provision of galvanizing services, as well as the design, manufacture and supply of products for the construction industry. Headquartered in Brierley Hill, England, the business operates through its facilities in the UK, the US, France, Sweden, Australia, India, and Norway and employs over 4,100 people. The Hill & Smith share price is listed on the London Stock Exchange and included in the FTSE 250 Index. In 2018, the company’s annual revenue was around £638 million. The company’s origins date back to 1824 when it was established by Edward Hill. Shortly after, Henry Smith joined the business forming the partnership. The most renowned projects of the company include ornamental gates for the King Chulalongkorn of Siam in around 1900 and fencing for Queen Victoria in 1860.
