The company operates through the tankers segment. The tankers segment includes crude oil tankers and product tankers. The company operates through its subsidiaries and partnerships in Bermuda, India, the Philippines, Liberia, Norway, the United Kingdom and Singapore. It is also involved in the charter, purchase and sale of vessels. The company's vessels are managed by ship management companies. Frontline conducts activities worldwide. In 1997 the Company was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the symbol FRO. In 2001, Frontline shares began trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker FRO.
