The US 30 (Dow) traditionally represents the 30 leading blue-chip securities traded on the NYSE and the NASDAQ. The list of companies, included into the Dow index, consists of the key players in specific industries. The index is price-weighted. The Dow Jones Industrial Average serves as one of the key indicators of the U.S. stock market since its launch in 1896. Even today, it is one of the most followed indices in the World, representing such giants as Microsoft, Apple, Boeing, IBM, Goldman Sachs, etc.
