Centamin PLC (CEY) is a company dealing with mineral exploration, mining and development. It is headquartered in Mount Pleasant, Western Australia. The company’s main target is the Arabian-Nubian Shield. Centamin has additional offices located in Alexandria, Egypt, and London, UK. The Centamin share price is dually listed on the Toronto and London Stock Exchanges and included in the FTSE 250 Index. The company’s origins go back to 1970 when it was incorporated in South Australia. In the same year, it was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker symbol CNT. Later, Centamin acquired gold exploring company Pharaoh Gold Mines and was granted a 160 square kilometre exploitation lease in Egypt. The company’s annual revenue of 2018 was $603.2 million.
