It started as a neighbourhood drugstore in 1901, today the company has over 8,000 stores throughout the US and Latin America and is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois. Walgreen is split into three business segments: Retail Pharmacy Wholesale, Retail Pharmacy USA and Retail Pharmacy International. Their portfolio of marketed brands ranges from Beauty brands (Nivea, Neutrogena, Freeman etc.) to babycare products. Walgreen is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
