The US Coffee "C" serves as the world’s benchmark contract for Arabica coffee. The two major coffee species are the Coffea Arabica (Arabica coffee) and Coffea Canephora (Robusta coffee). Arabica accounts for over 70% of the world’s coffee production. The US Coffee "C" sets a price for physical delivery of exchange-grade coffee beans from 1 of the 20 origin countries in a warehouse to the US or European ports with determined discounts and premiums for growths and ports. The three world’s largest coffee producers are Brazil, Vietnam and Colombia.
