iShares Global Timber & Forestry ETF Company profile
The investment seeks to track the investment results of the S&P; Global Timber & Forestry IndexTM composed of global equities in or related to the timber and forestry industry. The fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of the index and in investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the component securities and may invest up to 20% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents. The cleverly named WOOD offers investors a way to access the global timber industry, making this ETF a potentially attractive option for fine tuning a portfolio or implementing a targeted sector rotation strategy. Like many targeted sector ETFs, WOOD is relatively concentrated; there are only about 30 names in total in this fund, and a relatively small handful accounts for a substantial portion of total assets.SAN FRANCISCO
