Capital.com announces new CEO Jonathan Squires

Capital.com introduces new CEO Jonathan Squires with the aim to grow business into new markets.

Breaking through the middle of 2020, we realised that we have missed telling you about one of the major changes within Capital.com’s leadership structure. At last, we would like to introduce our new CEO Jonathan Squires.

Jonathan Squires joined our company with a mandate to grow the business into new markets internationally. For more than 20 years, Jonathan has concentrated on building new and high-potential brands into market leaders, working at a senior level in companies such as GlobalData (AIM: DATA), Trinity Mirror Digital (now LSE: RCH) and The Stars Group (TSGE: TSI).

His strengths in online commerce, corporate strategy and new market entry have led to direct and significant impact on the market share of each company he has worked in, and it is this direction he has brought to Capital.com.

A few key facts about Jonathan:

  • 16 years in online marketing. Jonathan really understands how to drive growth
  • As a CEO of a large marketing company in Pokerstars group with a $9bn market cap, Jonathan achieved huge year on year growth from already big numbers and won five awards for "company of the year" out of the six he was in charge of
  • Jonathan has an MBA from INSEAD, Paris, and LLB/BA from UWE, Bristol and Johannes Gutenberg Universitaet, Mainz
