US Cash Grains-Soy, corn basis higher as futures fall

CHICAGO, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Basis bids for soybeans were higher in the US Midwest on Monday as futures fell and the corn and soybean harvest advanced.

• Grain futures slid sharply, dropping to multi-month lows. CBOT corn futures faced pressure from the advancing US harvest, which could further bolster large stocks and increase world export supplies, and easing crude oil prices, traders and market analysts said.

• CBOT soybeans settled 15-1/4 cents lower at $12.41-1/4 per bushel.

• CBOT corn ended down 1 cent at $4.55 a bushel, after earlier touching the lowest price seen since July 10.
