Straumann Q3 sales slightly beat expectations

By Reuters News

- Swiss dental implants maker Straumann STMN.S reported sales slightly above expectations in the third quarter citing strong growth from all its key regions.

Investors are closely watching Straumann's performance in North America, where high interest rates and inflation have been a concern, and in China, where uncertainty around the planned volume-based procurement pricing reform remains in focus.

  • The group reported third-quarter revenue of 667.1 million Swiss francs ($805.1 million) compared to a Vara consensus of 662.3 million.

  • North American sales grew 7.5% organically in the July-September period, despite continued pressure from tariffs.

  • Asia Pacific sales grew 10.3% in the quarter, with China returning to growth after several quarters marked by uncertainty surrounding volume-based procurement, the company said.

  • The company confirmed its outlook for the full year.

  • Christopher Norbye is set to succeed Guillaume Daniellot as CEO on Dec. 1, following the transition announced alongside first-half results in August.
