Deals of the day-Mergers and acquisitions

- The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Monday:

** US spirits maker Sazerac launched a takeover offer for all shares of beverage firm Berentzen BEZ.DE for €5.55 ($6.37) apiece, which is supported by Berentzen's supervisory and executive boards.

** Australia's Telix Pharmaceuticals TLX.AX said it has agreed to acquire Germany-based ITM Isotope Technologies Munich SE for about $1.65 billion on a cash- and debt-free basis, further boosting its radiopharmaceutical ambitions.

** State-owned China Rare Earth Group is in talks to acquire Shenghe Resources 600392.SS, said two sources with knowledge of the matter, a move that would consolidate Beijing's control over the sector and give the firm a stake in one of Washington's rare earth plays.
