Cereno Scientific strengthens patient engagement and EPIMODE recruitment foundations at Global PH Summit
Cereno Scientific (Nasdaq First North: CRNO B), an innovative biotech pioneering treatments for rare cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, has been invited to present the Company and its global Phase IIb trial EPIMODE at the Global PH Summit (GPHS), held November 4–7, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain. The participation marks an important step in strengthening Cereno's presence in the international pulmonary hypertension (PH) community, advancing patient-centered drug development and building a strong foundation for effective patient recruitment in the EPIMODE trial.
Organized by PHA Europe & Global, the annual summit brings together representatives from national pulmonary hypertension (PH) patient organizations worldwide, alongside pharmaceutical companies and other key stakeholders in the PH field. Cereno will present and engage directly with patient representatives, including those from countries participating in the EPIMODE trial. The summit offers an important opportunity to deepen these relationships, increase awareness of Cereno's pioneering research and strengthen its position in the global PH landscape.
"We are excited to present CS1 and EPIMODE at this important global gathering. As we advance our Phase IIb program, strengthening our connections with the international patient community is a strategic priority to build momentum around the trial and create the best possible conditions for its successful execution," said Sten R. Sörensen, CEO of Cereno Scientific.
Patient engagement supporting EPIMODE recruitment
Cereno Scientific's lead drug candidate CS1 is being developed as a potentially disease-modifying treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). CS1 is a well-tolerated oral therapy with a favorable safety profile that has shown encouraging efficacy signals in a Phase IIa trial in patients with PAH, including improvements in right heart function, functional class and patient quality of life, with early signs consistent with reverse vascular remodeling.
The Company sees its growing engagement with the patient community as an important foundation for recruitment excellence in the EPIMODE trial. Through closer collaboration with national patient organizations in countries participating in the trial, the Company aims to better understand local patient needs, adapt its communications and extend its reach within local PAH communities. By coordinating these efforts with investigators and participating clinical sites, Cereno aims to increase awareness and understanding of EPIMODE, reach more patients with relevant study information and create the best possible conditions for effective recruitment.
“Working with patient organizations globally, regionally and locally allows us to tailor our approach to the needs of different patient communities. Together with our investigators and clinical centers, we aim to translate these relationships into effective patient outreach and strong trial execution," said Rahul Agrawal, Chief Medical Officer and Head of R&D at Cereno Scientific.
Participation at the Global PH Summit further strengthens Cereno's expanding international network across patient, clinical and scientific communities, supporting its ambition to become an increasingly significant contributor to advancing new treatments for cardiopulmonary disease with high unmet needs.
