By Reuters News

- Central European currencies were little changed on Monday as they awaited US and eurozone interest rates decisions later in the week to give direction, while stock markets in the region rose in line with other European bourses.

  • Markets were also focused on the impact of the US-Israeli war with Iran on oil prices , which eased from six-month highs, and on social unrest in France.

  • "Friday’s inflation data from Poland could help stabilise the market."

  • Elsewhere, the Czech crown stabilised around 24.3600 per euro while the Hungarian forint traded at 366.95.

  • "The euro-forint exchange rate is near the 200-day moving average. Following last week's rise, the rate has neared a key resistance level, which stands at 367.29. A support zone is visible in the 364.50-365.10 band, where the 50- and 30-day moving averages are," Brokerage Equilor said.

  • Following an election on Sunday won by a student-led protest movement, Serbia's international bonds gained

  • The euro-denominated 2031 maturity rose 0.8 cents and was bid at 97.861 cents on the euro, Tradeweb data showed .
