By GlobeNewswire

BOSTON, Oct. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Block & Leviton is investigating Credit Acceptance Corp. (Nasdaq: CACC) for potential securities law violations. Investors who have lost money in their Credit Acceptance investment should contact the firm to learn more about how they might recover those losses. What is this all about?

Block & Leviton is investigating whether Credit Acceptance and certain of its executives misled investors about how its auto loans were performing compared with the company's own collection forecasts. On its second-quarter 2026 earnings call, executives reportedly said they had 'no concerns' with the forecast and that loan performance was 'very consistent with our initial expectations.' About eight weeks later, on October 29, 2026, the company reported a third-quarter net loss of $56.6 million, compared with net income of $108.2 million a year earlier. The loss was driven by a $291 million cut to expected cash flows on loans made from 2022 through 2026. Management attributed the cut to a new forecasting method and acknowledged 'small but consistent' underperformance among its lowest-rated borrowers, and the stock fell roughly 16% after the announcement.
