Acciona, Acciona Energia fall after report bidders withdraw from unit sale

By Reuters News

** Shares of both Acciona ANA.MC and its unit Acciona Energia ANE.MC fall about 4% each, after a media report that said three equity funds have withdrawn from a process to buy the renewable unit

** According to El Confidencial, Ardian, EQT and Norges Bank — the three remaining finalists in the sale process — have pulled their binding offers for an acquisition, citing difficulties securing financing and the high price demanded by the parent company

** Both Acciona and Acciona Energia were not immediately available for comment

** Sabadell says this news could have a negative impact on the share price, as the potential full sale of Acciona Energia at a significant premium "cools down"

** Shares of Acciona on track for their worst day since September 14, while Acciona Energia is set for its worst day since June 15
