Verbio falls after 2026/27 EBITDA forecast lags estimates

By Reuters News

** Shares in Verbio VBKG.DE fall 5.5% after the biofuel producer's core earnings forecast for FY 2026/27 landed below market expectations

** Jefferies says the German company's EBITDA target of between €210 million and €250 million ($239 million and $284 million) implies a midpoint below a Vara consensus of €246 million

** The brokerage adds it had also expected a further reduction in net debt

** "I think the share price decline is simply because consensus was at the upper end of the new guidance range, although the guidance is fully in line with our expectations," says NuWays analyst Jorge Gonzalez

** The stock has lost around a third of its value since an end-March peak
