UK Stocks-Factors to watch on October 2

- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening up on Friday, with futures up 0.3%.


* BAE SYSTEMS: BAE Systems BAES.L is among the potential bidders that are in the early stages of exploring an offer for Robin Radar Systems.

* HOME REIT: More than 800 investors have sued Home REIT HOMEH.L alleging they were misled about the security of its rental income, financial strength, and social impact.

* DEMENTIA: UK's national research agency is backing a plan to speed up dementia testing with up to £80 million in funding, to improve diagnosis rates and cut waiting times that can exceed a year.

* OIL: Oil prices were broadly stable as the market weighed the possibility of renewed US-Iran tensions against signs of recovering Middle Eastern supplies this week.

* GOLD: Gold steadied but was still headed for a second consecutive weekly decline, pressured by a stronger dollar and higher Treasury yields as investors awaited U.S. payrolls data for clues on the Federal Reserve's policy path.

* METALS: Copper recovered some of the previous days' losses on supply concerns, but remained on track for its worst weekly fall since April.

* The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed down 1.68% on Thursday as banks led declines on rising global bond yields, inflation concerns and weaker sentiment.
