Taiwan's Winbond to buy Infineon's NOR Flash, F-RAM business in all-cash deal
TAIPEI, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Taiwan memory chip maker Winbond Electronics 2344.TW will buy Infineon's NOR Flash and F-RAM business for $1.12 billion in an all-cash transaction, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals, Winbond said, adding that the acquired business will be named Spansion.
