PTC Therapeutics dips after convertible bond refinancing

** PTC Therapeutics' PTCT.O shares down 1.4% before the bell on Tues to $75.70 after clinching raise to refinance convertible debt

** Warren, New Jersey-based PTCT late Mon announced pricing private offering of $500 mln 0% convertible bonds (CBs) due 2031

** Initial conversion price of $107.48 represents 40% premium over stock's last sale of $76.77

** PTCT intends to use about $328.8 mln of net offering proceeds to repurchase for cash $222 mln of its 1.5% CBs due Sept 2026, and for repayment/retirement of any remaining 2026 CBs at maturity

** Co said given offering dynamics, it will not use any proceeds to repurchase its shares to facilitate hedging by investors in the new CBs

** PTCT shares closed up 2.2% on Mon, giving co roughly $6.4 bln market cap, leaving them up 1% YTD

** Avg rating of 15 analysts is "buy"; median PT $92.50, according to LSEG data
