FOCUSED ON THE POSITIVES

European equity indices are in recovery mode on Wednesday and seem focused on oil prices nudging lower, while putting the prospect of a potential Federal Reserve rate hike on the back burner for now.

The STOXX 600 .STOXX is up 0.3%, as is the FTSE 100 .FTSE, while the DAX .GDAXI and CAC .FCHI are both reaching for gains near the flatline.

Miners .SXPP are leading gains, up 0.8%, thanks to a lift from UK-listed Pan African Resources. PAFR.L Shares in the gold miner rose over 5% after it reported a jump in its FY26 revenue.

The biggest sectoral decliner is autos and parts .SXAP, down 1.4%.

Meanwhile, Soitec SOIT.PA shares are up by more than 11% - the French chip-materials maker was upgraded to "overweight" from "neutral" by J.P. Morgan.
