Exxon Joliet, Illinois, refinery unit remains offline, may return to service next week, IIR Energy says
NEW YORK, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Exxon's XOM.N 275,000-bpd refinery in Joliet, Illinois, may return to service next week, industry monitor IIR Energy said on Thursday.
Joliet took its 50,000-bpd catalytic reformer offline on October 20. The unit converts hydrocarbons with low octane numbers into higher-octane reformate.
Exxon declined to comment on specific unit operations.
