Europe Gasoline/Naphtha-Gasoline refining margins rise

By Reuters News

- Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose by $2 on Friday as oil prices headed for a weekly decline.

  • Varo sold one cargo of Eurobob E5 to TotalEnergies on the Platts platform.

  • Around 6,000 metric tons of Eurobob E10 traded, Exxon Mobil selling to Varo and TotalEnergies on the Argus platform.

  • Oil prices were set for a sharp weekly fall after the election losses of US President Donald Trump's Republican Party raised hopes of a de-escalation in the US-Israeli war on Iran and a stock market sell-off, though attacks on vessels in the Middle East continue to provide a floor to crude. • India's fuel consumption in October rose nearly 10% from the previous month, its highest level since March.

  • US refiners significantly reduced motor gasoline yields to prioritize higher-margin distillate fuel oil and jet fuel amid constrained global supplies, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.
