Travis Perkins PLC (TPK) is the UK's number one builders' supplier, based in Northampton. Founded in 1797, the group unites more than 20 businesses and 19 brands under its umbrella and enjoys a reputation as the best quality timber, building materials, and tools distributor across the British Isles. The company’s team consists of over 29,000 employees, working in stores around the UK.
Today, Travis Perkins runs a network of over 2,000 branches and stores, catering to the trade, home improvement and DIY markets across Great Britain. The company offers a wide range of tools and materials suitable for gardening, landscaping, interior decorating, bathrooms and kitchens design. The group divides their activities into four core segments: General Merchanting, Plumbing & Heating, Contract, and Consumer.
The department of General Merchanting includes Travis Perkins and Benchmarx brands. They offer different types or RMI (repair, maintenance and improvement) projects, and new commercial and residential construction services. The Plumbing and Heating segment specialises in bathroom and plumbing products under the iflo and several other brands, including City Plumbing Supplies and Plumbing Trade Supplies. The Contracts segment operates under three major brands – CCF, BSS and Keyline – supplying drainage solutions and heavy building materials. The Consumer segment is represented by Wickes, Tile Giant and Toolstation brands and supplies decorative and domestic building materials through retail stores.
