The C&IS segment is a provider of asset servicing and related services to corporate and public retirement funds, foundations, endowments, fund managers, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, and other institutional investors around the globe. The Wealth Management segment provides trust, investment management, custody, and philanthropic services; financial consulting; guardianship and estate administration; family business consulting; family financial education; brokerage services; and private and business banking. The Company conducts business through various United States (U.S) and non-United States subsidiaries, including The Northern Trust Company (Bank).

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2021, Northern Trust Corporation revenues increased 4% to $6.4B. Net income applicable to common stockholders increased 31% to $1.49B. Revenues reflect Wealth Management segment increase of 7% to $2.86B, International segment increase of 16% to $2.02B. Net income benefited from Provision for Credit Losses decrease from $125M (expense) to $81.5M (income). Dividend per share remained flat at $2.80.
