Digital Turbine Inc. Company profile
Digital Turbine Inc. is a US-based independent mobile advertising platform provider. The Austin, Texas-headquartered company provides end-to-end software products and solutions for mobile operators, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and third parties to enable the monetisation of mobile content. Digital Turbine’s products provide portal management, user interface, content development and billing technology to its users.
Digital Turbine’s products are adopted across different industries in gaming, finance, food and beverages, and shopping apps on Android devices.
Formerly known as Mandalay Digital Group, the company was founded in 1998 and changed its name in January 2015. Digital Turbine was a wholly owned subsidiary of Mandalay Digital Group. The group changed the name to better reflect its operating brand. The company operates in the US, Israel, Germany and Singapore to serve the needs of advertiser, operator and publisher customers globally.
Prior to the name change, Mandalay Digital Group was listed on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker MNDL following its initial proposed offering in March 2014. Its ticker was changed to APPS on 20 January 2015.
The group continues to grow in the digital advertising space through acquisitions. It completed the takeovers of AdColony Holdings AS and Fyber N.V. on 29 April and 25 May 2021, respectively. AdColony and Fyber are US-based mobile advertising and marketing platforms.
Digital Turbine’s CEO, Bill Stone, has been with the group since 2014. Christine Collins joined Digital Turbine in 2018 as its chief technology officer.
