The base currency – CHF. The counter currency – HUF. The CHF to HUF rate shows how many Hungarian forints are needed to buy one Swiss franc. The Swiss franc is the official currency of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, which is sometimes nicknamed as the ‘Swissie.’ The currency is abbreviated as ‘SFr.’ or ‘Fr.’ One Swiss franc includes 100 centimes. The Swiss National Bank issues the banknotes and controls the monetary policy. Switzerland has a safe economy, heavily reliant on foreign investments. HUF circulates in the Republic of Hungary and is issued by the Hungarian National Bank. Introduced in 1946, the Hungarian forint is abbreviated as ‘Ft.’ and subdivided into 100 fillér.
