Netflix is to raise $1.6bn (£1.2bn) through an institutional bond issue. It said the money might pay for “content acquisitions, production and development, capital expenditures, investments, working capital and potential acquisitions and strategic transactions”.
The company said: “The interest rate, redemption provisions, maturity date and other terms of the Notes will be determined by negotiations between Netflix and the initial purchasers.”
The FT reports that the prospectus says the bonds will mature in 2028.
