It offers discretionary investment management, financial planning, tax and trust services, banking and loan services, as well as legal, estate, and trust advisory services to private investors, trustees, and charities in the UK and Jersey. The Rathbone Brothers share price is listed on the London Stock Exchange and included in the FTSE 250 Index.
Founded in 1742, Rathbone Brothers started as a timber-trading business based in Liverpool. In the 19th century, it became a leading trader in cotton from the US. Later, the company took a decision to abandon its trading operations and focus only on financial management. As of December 2018, the funds under the company’s management were of £44.1 billion.
