- Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Friday.

The lira traded at 49.1450 against the U.S. dollar at 0423 GMT, after closing at 49.03 on Thursday.

The BIST 100 index closed 2.53% higher at 12,249.04 points on Thursday.

VICE PRESIDENT

Turkey's Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will attend a coordination council meeting on country's fund crisis and then visit Northern cyprus to attend a hospital inauguration ceremony.


DEFENCE MINISTRY

Defence Minister Yasar Guler will attend the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia Trilateral Defence Ministers’ Meeting in Shusha, Azerbaijan.


CENTRAL BANK STEPS

Turkey's central bank on Thursday raised the growth limit for loans to small and medium-sized enterprises and lowered ratios for maintaining lira required reserves in blocked accounts, in steps aimed at supporting financial stability and banks' liquidity management.


HOUTHI ATTACK ON SAUDI

Turkey's Foreign ministry strongly condemned the Houthis' attack to Saudi Arabia, reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia and called for avoiding further regional escalation.
