TEXT zk-SNARKs Messenger Launches: No Phone, No Email, No SIM

By GlobeNewswire

SHERIDAN, Wyo., Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Z-TEXT, a privacy messenger built on the BitcoinZ blockchain, has launched with no phone number, no email, no SIM card and no KYC requirement. The application is available now for download on Android, macOS, Windows and Linux, with iOS coming to the App Store.

How It Works

Every Z-TEXT message travels as a shielded BitcoinZ transaction. zk-SNARKs, a zero-knowledge proof system, confirm each transaction is valid without revealing the sender or the recipient. The message content is encrypted on the device with AES-256-GCM before it is sent, so only the recipient can read it.

Identities are generated from a seed phrase rather than a phone number or email, and can be discarded and replaced at any time.

Z-TEXT runs on three layers: the BitcoinZ blockchain for decentralization and permanence, zk-SNARKs for privacy, and quantum-resistant cryptography (ML-KEM-768, live since version 3.7.0) protecting the key exchange against future quantum computers.

One Blockchain, Five Tools

Z-TEXT combines five tools in one app: a messenger, a BTCZ wallet, an on-chain password manager, a broadcast feature called Channels, and a disposable identity system. Each identity is its own 24-word seed, and that one seed unlocks all five tools.

Sending a message costs 0.0002 BTCZ: a 0.0001 BTCZ network fee plus 0.0001 BTCZ delivered to the recipient. In a normal back-and-forth, that amount comes back with each reply, so the real cost is about 0.0001 BTCZ per message.

Network and Verification

BitcoinZ's first block was mined on September 10, 2017. The network is GPU-mineable, with no specialized hardware required, and an independent security review published in June 2026 confirmed the integrity of its coin supply.

Z-TEXT does not issue BTCZ and does not control the BitcoinZ blockchain. The company operates without venture capital funding and runs an active bug bounty program with rewards up to $1,500 per finding, paid in ZEC from a public, verifiable pool.

Statement from Leadership

“I believe in zk-SNARKs the way some people believe in free speech itself,” said Eric Pierrot, founder of Z-TEXT. “A whistleblower, a journalist, anyone who needs to speak without being silenced shouldn't have to trust a company. The math should protect them, not a privacy policy.”

Availability

Wallet functions, reading previously saved data and reading Channels are free, with no license needed. A license code unlocking messaging, new password manager entries, Channels posts and new disposable identities starts at $3 for one month on the Z-TEXT packages page, payable in several major cryptocurrencies.
