PJT hires Goldman UK M&A head Evans for London office

By Reuters News

- PJT Partners PJT.N has hired Owain Evans from Goldman Sachs GS.N as a partner in the boutique adviser's London office, helping bolster its UK advisory business, a spokesperson for PJT said.

The hire further supports the company's dealmaking business in the UK where it has been involved in a number of high-profile deals including Apollo's takeover of easyJet, advising Comcast on Sky’s acquisition of ITV Media & Entertainment, and advising Intertek Group's board on the £10.9 billion ($14.46 billion) offer from EQT.

  • Evans, who most recently served as co-head of UK M&A at Goldman Sachs, is expected to join PJT later this year, the spokesperson said. He spent 15 years at the US bank having joined in 2011 from Morgan Stanley.

  • During the past two years, Evans advised on the sale of Permanent TSB to BAWAG, the sale of Deliveroo to DoorDash and was involved in Anglo American's defence against BHP's takeover approach.
