The cost of Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company's (JPRC) fourth expansion project is estimated at around $2 billion, local Arabic language news outlet Al Mamlaka reported last week, citing the company's chairman Abdul Rahim Al-Baqaei.

The refinery upgrade project will have a refining capacity of 73,000 barrels per day (bpd), Al-Baqaei said.

He said the capacity was determined based on comprehensive economic and technical feasibility studies, as well as an updated market study prepared by consulting firms.
