Givaudan shares seen up as 'stellar' fragrance sales growth beats forecasts

By Reuters News

** Givaudan GIVN.S shares are seen up around 2-4% in pre-market indications, after the Swiss fragrance and flavour maker's third-quarter organic sales beat expectations, driven by its fragrance division

** The company on Tuesday posted 8.6% group like-for-like Q3 sales growth, beating a 4.7% company-compiled consensus. Its fragrance arm's Q3 like-for-like sales grew 13.5%, topping 6.6% expectations

** "Fragrance & Beauty had a stellar performance," Vontobel analyst Arben Hasanaj said in a note, pointing to a "phenomenal, broad re-acceleration" in the division’s fine fragrance unit, which he puts at 31%

** Hasanaj expects full-year 2026 estimates to be upgraded on higher growth and margins, helped by high-margin perfumery

** Givaudan shares had gained 10.9% this year up to Monday’s close
